On a mission to uplift, Tilarni is a rare talent who has enchanted audiences with her powerhouse vocals throughout her impressive musical career. She has performed across some of Melbourne’s finest venues with her band BlackCherie and delighted audiences on national TV as a solo artist on Good Morning Australia. Recently, Tilarni has taken centre stage in the widely acclaimed ‘Australian Whitney Houston Show’ where she masterfully celebrates the life and sound of one of the greatest pop divas of all time.
Singing has always been an intrinsic part of life for Tilarni. She grew up admiring her mother’s singing career and watching her parents rehearse and perform in their band. She discovered her own interwoven passion for music and faith singing in church as a young girl with her family. Later, things picked up momentum when she became a grand-finalist in Yamaha’s national Australian songwriting competition with bandleader David Senn.
From there, Tilarni joined the highly sought after Melbourne Gospel Choir, backing celebrity artists on national TV. Known for her technical skill and incredible ability to deeply connect, she has surrounded herself with a vibrant community of musicians and fans alike.
As an independent artist, her collaboration with singer/songwriter/producer and husband David Senn continued to blossom with the release of the song “Power to Shine”, which was broadcast at the 2000 Summer Olympics. The pair went on to film three live gospel DVDs that aired on Foxtel’s Australian Christian Channel between 2004-2008.
Like her inspiration Whitney Houston, Tilarni is deeply rooted in her faith and approaches her music with love and determination. Never one to shy away from a new adventure, Tilarni also collaborated with David Senn and Andrew De Silva (Winner of AGT 2012) to release the deeply soulful singles “Rock the World” (2010) and “Survivor” (2015).
Over the years, Tilarni has tapped into her passion for music to overcome life’s many challenges. Tilarni is a versatile artist who approaches her vocation with a pure passion that captures people’s hearts.
